Narcosis, Ix and Black Sun, Edinburgh, 18/07/04
Cold Dead Hands Presents
Narcosis Super fast grind from Liverpool. Ex members of Underclass and Hard To Swallow. Think Need To Control era Brutal Truth, and you're kind of getting there. I saw them a few weeks ago, and they tore through their set like men possessed. www.narcore.com www.hxcmp3.com/bands/5101/ Ix Ambient drone/doom from Edinburgh and Dundee, I'm sure you're all acquainted with them now. If not, mix Sunn, Electric Wizard, Isis and Grief, big D-O-O-M riffs mixed with quieter parts. www.folding-space.net Black Sun Punishing sludge from Glasgow, think early Godflesh, Swans and Khanate. Truly horrible, but in the best possible way. www.over-records.com A Written Apology Melodic metal-core in the vein of Unearth, Undying, A Prayer For Cleansing, etc. www.hxcmp3.com/awrittenapology Sunday 18th July, Studio 24, Calton Road, Edinburgh Doors 7.30, £4, over 14s As usual, there'll be the swap box, etc. Last edited by LordSummerisle : 29th June 2004 at 09:37 AM. HTS had dual vocalists, Pete from Narcosis was in a later line-up, circa the split they did with Canvas, the other singer being Bloody Kev, who was in a bunch of other bands.
Wives Of Seth would be a good shout for bringing up later in the year, the mp3 I've heard is pretty good. Isn't there some ex-Tribute people in that band too? |
