Yage, Santo Caserio - Barfly, Glasgow - Saturday 7th August

YAGE - one of the best european bands since the love records scene of the mid 90's, germans finest bring the melodic emo/hardcore for you all to pat your chest and sing a long with. this is their second (last was in '98) and final uk tour before they go on an indefinite hiatus.

SANTO CASERIO - loacl buckfast violence, doin the oop emo screamo for the kids, get that vinyl now... collect all 10 different versions!

(plus one more emo screamo oop band)

venue is the barfly, doors at 8 SHARP, cost will be Â£4/5. 18's.

usual assortment of abusive fucks on the door (me) and cool distros at the back (carnage and maybe keef if i can bribe him with beers)

done and dusted by 10:30, there is a punk club night on afterwards that might interest some of you!

I've never heard Yage because i'm not mindblowingly cool and xscenex but santo caserio are good so I'll go. If it's punktrap on after it then i'll let you know now that it is mildly cack.

100 sheets for the saturday night, not sure what it is mid week... which compares well to others (aside from the note) as sleazies is 120 or so, rockers is a fucking dive and is 100+ and black was gonna be 100 + pa!

Is it o.k to set up on the floor? I take it you don't know who is doing the sound? Off Minor is going to be there as well but Chas said it's upstairs, I guess Yage being a Saturday night will not be the same format. Yx

Looking forward to some Deutsch style emo rock courtesy of Yage. Finally I can congratulate Nikita in person for having the best run distro in the world, those germans- so damn organised.

If you like Santo Caserio that's a good start cause Yage are way better than those useless c*nts

One question Steve, are there any other rare screamo oop bands in Scotland? I look forward to seeing who you come up with.
