The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra, Calling Gina Clark @Studio 24. 14/9/04
Cold Dead Hands Present Their 1st Birthday Party:
*Only Scottish Date* ![]() The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra Germany's Apoplexy Twist Orchestra dish out relentless driving hardcore in the lineage of such greats as Orchid or the mighty Kaospilot. Essentially a speeded up take on the Uranus sound, Its heads down, frantic stuff with little in the way of respite. They've shared vinyl with fellow German Screamos Louise Cypher and the Italian La Quiete. http://www.theapoplexytwistorchestra.de.vu/ Calling Gina Clark Also from Germany. Calling Gina Clark play Screamo like it used to be, class of 99' style. Before the term became a label for insipid bland nu-metal rejects with flock of sea gull haircuts trying to clamber onto another bandwagon. Their Spazzy songs flip between quiet, almost jazzy breaks and short blasting grinds. Think Usurp Synapse. They recently appeared on the fantastic "How to Destroy Yourself!" 10" with Circle Takes the Square and Sinaloa as well as a split 7" with the awesome Dispensing of False Halos. http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/10563/http://www.callingginaclark.de/ Santo Caserio Central Scotland's soundtrack to lung cancer, heart disease, liver failure and a slow painfull death. Emoviolence vs the avant-garde. The Ocean Fracture The Ocean Fracture are from Greenock. Its hard to pin down their sound. In places they sound similar to post-emo bands like Appleseed Cast or perhaps even Elliot, in others its more post-rock ala Mogwai. Post-wotsits aside, safe to say if you like rock at the epic end of the spectrum this should float your boat. http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/5237/ http://www.theoceanfracture.com/ Studio 24 Tuesday the 14th of September. Doors 7.30pm, £5 As Ever the CDH swap box is in effect. Furthermore, this is exactly a year to the day since Funeral Diner (which was the 1st official CDH gig). We want to make the night as much fun as possible, so there might be a few extra things going on. Watch this space. Last edited by Kingmob : 21st August 2004 at 04:33 PM. |

I hope Calling Gina Clark will be selling small recordplayers, small enough to play their 5" vinyl. My turn table keeps fighting with me everytime I try to play it.
I'm still wondering wither to take my Pinata filled with teeth rotting sweets to Yage or to this party. ![]() |

Yeah can't turn my auto return off. It doesn't like it. Oh well this is what soulseeks for.
I saw the Pinata when I was food shoping and instantly wanted it as I like to hit things with sticks. As for party hats, I shall be wearing a funny hat anyway and funny clothes and most probably a funny face. <Edit as I can't spell> |
