Hey man,
Just thought I'drop you this. I just emailed it to Kerrang. -------------------------------------------------- Hey, I understand that Kerrang is a magazine that strives to support the massive underground musical movement, as this has been proven many times with the Scumscene section, various double-page spreads of underground festivals and free band gig listings. Such features are appreciated, speaking for myself and the underground scene. You may not be aware, however, of a thriving underground punk rock scene in the North-east of Scotland, encompassing Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Arbroath and a great number of other towns extending up the northern coast. Most of the bands and artists use www.undergroundscene.co.uk as their meeting point, and innumerous bonds have been forged and gigs and ideas swapped. The site not only accomodates punk rock bands, but bands of any kind. On Halloween of this year, the Westport Bar in Dundee is playing host to a gathering of punkers. The `Punkin For Apples` festivals features six of the most exciting upcoming punk rock bands from the north-east. At only £2 admission to see Tear-Jerk, Segaboy, Pen 15, Today's Lesson, 13 Broken Fingers and A Close Last, it would be criminal to ignore this veritable feast of punk rock action. While a two-page article may be a touch ambitious, perhaps it would be an idea to investigate the ongoings in this part of the world. All of the bands mentioned above are extremely hard working, and the whole thing has been organised by www.undergroundscene.co.uk and the bands themselves. It's going to be a fantastic night. I just thought that Kerrang! would appreciate an invitation. Cheers, -Deeker -------------------------------------------------- You just never know!!! |

We might as well try and get the information everywhere.
I'll email radio Tay and shit. They have entertainment guides that promote shows. It's a Dundee-based station in Dundee, and is relevant to the citizens of Dundee (and surrounding area). There is no harm in trying anywhere and everywere to get things heard - all they can say s no. Sound! ![]() |

We'll jst get the word well and truly spread.
Halloween happens to be one of the two days of the mid-semester break at Stirling uni - so hopefully a whole bunch of people will be up for a good time. I think we'll be bringing a busload of folk up, so there should be a decent element of culturally-starved Stirling freaks. I'm getting a tingle up my spine. Oh,Saturday night in the Grill Bar, Perth - 13 Broken Fingers Live!!! Sorry for the blatant plug!! ![]() |
