Misty's Big Adventure + The A Forest + Thee Moths - Dundee Rep - Tue 28/09
MISTY'S BIG ADVENTURE + THE A FOREST + THEE MOTHS Dundee Rep Theatre Cafe Bar Tuesday 28th September £2 Entry 9:00PM Misty's Big Adventure Peel favourites touring to support their debut album "The Solar Hi-Fi System" oout 20th September on Edinburgh's SL Records (Ballboy, Degrassi, Khaya). www.mistysbigadventure.co.uk "An utterly eccentric dollop of smile inducing fun...grinningly good" - The Fly "You'll be lifted up and carried away by the small big band feel of 'I Am Cool...' like a cartoon caper where the kids always get away with it" - Careless Talk Costs Lives "Impeccable Musicianship, melodies to die for and best of all it makes you grin like an idiot for hours" - The Big Issue The A Forest Local chancers trying to flog you a copy of their recently released split 7" with Mercury Tilt Switch (available on the night for £2!). You know the rest... www.theaforest.co.uk "A bittersweet dreamscape of breathy Stereolab romance" - The List (Single of the Week) "These guys and girls are like the soundtrack to a dream" - Drowned in Sound "Simply a magnificent soundscape...it feels like a long time since a band from Scotland has created something so lovely in this genre" - Stayfun Thee Moths Laptop show from local folk-pop gentleman. www.theemoths.co.uk "There’s plenty of people writing shy, folky indie tunes, but few create the intoxicating, womb-like atmosphere Thee Moths do, swaddling their songs in radio interference, backwards tapes, distorted drum machines, breathless angelic vocals, reedy violins and cheap muffled guitars. Think Belle and Sebastian, The Kingsbury Manx and Minotaur Shock, and a triumph of ingenuity over budget." - NME Hope to see you all there! Thee Moths are also out flogging a single! The 'Sand In Our Pockets' CD is out now for a wonderfully reasonable £3....I also have a couple of t-shirts left if anyone wants one - £5 for those.
New Thee Moths album coming in the Spring and I think there is going to be a new Lipsick! album sooner than that..... Oh yeah, come to this gig (and the others coming up) |

I missed them! I had twisted my ankle earlier and was in sooooooooo much pain that I had to head home. They sounded good in the soundcheck though.

Misty's big adventure Were very good! They looked like they were having so much fun! Although i was a bit scared by the guy in the red cloak with all the blue hands...he looked happy though.
Was impressed by the a forest too, my flatmates enjoyed it too drink wasn't exactly cheap though, think the unions made me steengy |
