Battle of the Bands St Andrews

November 24th - BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Open to any bands in Fife and Tayside, the St Andrews Battle of the
Bands event will decide the greatest band in the area! If you want to take
part (or you know someone who does), get your application back to us by 5th November, with 2 of your tracks (on a labelled CD). Applications can be obtained and returned to the General Office in the Students' Association.

No it won't. It'll decide the most populist of the bands that enter. Basically whoever has the most friends. Am i right?

You guys cant all complain that nobody supports the scene and then refuse to put music out there for them to support. Maybe these things do come down partly to popularity, but if music is good then maybe it deserves to be popular. It certainly deserves the chance to be heard.
Students Association is based in the Union, which is really near the bus station - you come out, cross the road, walk straight (there would be a church on your left and a pub called the raisin on your right) and its basically to your left just past the church.

how do u know that you're playin? we got an email sayin that they are taking longer than expected to decide, bcoz of a technical difficulty (prob dont have a working CD player). we were meant to know on monday, but oh well.

I got an e-mail earlier today (Thursday) saying we had gotten through to the finals of the Battle of the Bands. Maybe you'll hear tomorrow. The whole thing doesn't seem too well organized.
