Anyway - my point was I didnt think anyone did anything out of order so this whole thing was based on nothing.
if anyone was hit it was because they werent far back.

Not really rules or anything just savvy.

But that was just my personal view on it, other people have different views as to what happen.
whatever.

End.
woops, went to reply then went downstairs for a bit, things simmered doon in the interim. big hippy hugs all round, with some mosh to be brought as appeasement!

If you got hit and were standing too close and moan about it, then in my book your an idiot.
Its like standing on the middle of the m8 and moaning about getting knocked over.
that's complete bullshit, by the end of Broken Oath the front half of the room was being used for dancing, which is excellent. during the last song all the kids dancing went off on one and moved the crowd even further back, so they were in the last 1/3 of the room, which is cool.

then, Simon took a jump off his mates back and went spasticing into the crowd, at the back of the room, fists waving around everywhere. he landed on me, and about 6 people behind me.

then, he got pushed, and proceeded to fucking cry about it.

i don't want to stand at the back at gigs thanks very much. i also don't want to get punched or kicked at a gig either. bumbed shoved pushed knocked into, stagedived onto etc is perfectly acceptable, punched or kicked is not.
the dancing during BO was out of hand and stupid, the 8 people 'dancing' were paying no head to those around them. why when you people were the minority do you feel you have the right to take up the majority of the room?
i wanted to watch BO but i was having to spend too much time looking out for the uncoordinated and excesively violent flailings of a bunch of fucking morons.
as someone pointed out even people standing at the back were being affected and also people just coming in the door. i'll be down the front for gigs as i have been for the past 16 years however i don't have to put up with being kicked or punched, you tell people to quit moaning and get out of the way? well i don't expect to hear any fucking moaning if i bust your fucking head at a show if you hit me because you know what to do; stay out my way.
on a lighter note: the competition aspect in the dancing, i noticed that too, and it made me laugh (which was nice), you have your big space then one of you goes in does some floor punching and a bit of windmilling then swaggers off and then the next guy jumps into the space and does some high kicks and roundhouses before he to goes off to the side and the next guy comes in, it wasn't very often that you all danced at the same time. this whole process made it look like a breakdancing competition. especially when you swagger off to stand and watch the next guy, fucking hilarious.

i really dont get the people on this freaking forum everyone is saying how comeback kid and champion was the best show ever and 99% of the people have given positivie feedback about the show, the other 1% is the people on here bitching bout how they got hit or how simon took a dive into the crowd and someone didint like so there has been nearlym 6pages of bitchin about that...compared to the 2 or 3 pages on here about how good the show was.

what simon done in dundee he does occassionaly down at glasgow shows and ive never heard anyone complain about it not even girls complain about it, so basically stop picking out the negative parts of the show(which there were very few of) and start lookin at the positive aspects.

my girlfriend was landed on by simon and then a again by someone else...and all she said was "ouch that hurt my ear" to the second person that landed on her, people like you on this forum seem to just look for a reason to start crying about nothing.

he tried to kick off, because someone pushed him. someone pushed him because he jumped onto a pile of people for no reason. is it wrong that I think that's completely retarded?

here's what I've learned

- if you don't go to every single show, you're not HARDCORE
- if you don't like violence and getting jumped on, don't go to the show.

the meaning of hardcore is therefore: violence? I don't think it's necessarily "bitchy" for Nico to make a little complaint about being kicked in the throat and jumped on by the same moron at a show. the only reason it descended into this nonsense is because someone took exception to this and started arguing.

this is silly, i know ive missed the argument, here is my 2 cents:
dancing at shoes is good
aggressiveness is expected
losing a flesh tunnel cos you were in the way (by choice) of someone (myler ) stagediving is shit but my own fault
getting kicked by some idiot dancing, when he was fully aware people were close by is fucking stupid and un-neccesary
someone stagediving and holding onto you and dragging you down sucks
losing your hat sucks but also expected by wearing a hat
tigers can hurt you if you get bitten by one

myler, you are infact a very lovely guy, but i dont think theres any need to be making all these rules for a hardcore show, if you were paul engage perhaps,,,

i cant think of a single band who have a song about violence at hardcore shows being good but many about it sucking, a prime example being a thank you note which champion included in their set

this is how fights start, so please put an end to this pish
there is no divide between the east and west

if you dont wanna dance then stand away from the pit, but if you want to dance then make sure you leave the folk who aint dancing alone, and be aggressive if you want but make sure you dont actually hit anyone

i could have worded that better but meh

now lock this thread
