Cursed

Cursed

"CURSED are Canada's newest metallic monstrosity fronted by vocalist and lyricist Chris Colohan, formerly of The Swarm, Left For Dead, and Ruination. CURSED serve as the black cloud, the spoilers if you will. Rolling in as an unbridled disaster, equal parts social disgust, emotional upheaval, and total death n' roll destruction. Their musical approach is a flooring culmination of political punk energy (Discharge, Nausea, His Hero is Gone), bulldozing metal power (think early Entombed, Celtic Frost), and the all powerful earth shaking dirge (think Sleep, Neurosis, Melvins). “One” their debut album, clocks in at 11 memorable songs. Each one as epic in scale and as sonically damaging as the next. After first listen, there’s no question that “One” is a violent and memorable experience that reeks of rebellious character and raw musical chemistry. More importantly, “One” embodies the true anti-authoritative punk mindset that mainstream culture could never, ever mass produce. CURSED are a threat, intelligent as they are confrontational. Above all, CURSED is real."

s'no ma gig man, sup to you!!

mick, that description aint that close... the ex bands are more on the right track... the grittyness of swarm without the straightedge undertones and the face smashing thundering power of left for dead... yeah, like a dirtier left for dead... this is going to be fucking mental.

Cursed remind me of Isis, Tragedy, Acme and early Neurosis all at the same time. Can't wait for this!

Cursed are basically The Swarm with a beefier sound (it's more or less the same band, but with a member of the Black Hand). Should be good live. Probably the best metallic hardcore band around, they slay any haircut sporting pretenders!
As for supports, I'd go for IDD or The Process if Jamie's not emigrated by then.

checked out some mp3s, very Left For Dead (which is no bad thing ). i'd also say tickets aren't necessary, £5/6 on the door with decent local support and you should be sorted.
