Exclamation Seeking local support band ASAP for Dundee Westport Bar gig...

Hi there.

Can anyone help out?

We are looking for a local act to support us at The Westport Bar on Saturday 26th March for our Dundee EP launch party. We already have The Kays Lavelle joining forces with us for the evening, but are looking ideally for one more local act to support.

The last time we played the westie (weeknight) we managed to pull a good crowd, so we are hoping this night being a weekend and having local acts involved, it should be even more successful.

We are a female fronted, four piece Edinburgh based band (4/5 of the now defunkt trip-hop rock band Risingson from way back when ) with big Dundee connections.
Our sound could probably be described as 'powerfully emotive, jazz-tinged, piano-guitar-trip-rock-that-you-can-dance-to' Think Fiona Apple, Muse, No Doubt, Ben Folds Five, KT Tunstall kinda directions...

Some quotes about us:

"Haunting vocals… a terrific pair of lungs on her, and an excellent tone to boot… epic sound…ones to watch." Is This Music? Magazine

"Live it's something quite fantastic… the most danceable songs this side of a Franz Ferdinand/Delays collaboration."
This Is Fake DIY

Please see www.amplifico.net if you want more info about the band. And if you are interested please drop us a line asap at info@amplifico.net

We hope to hear from you soon

Many thanks
