V.I.R
Heavy, metallic crust from the Czech Rep. These guys knock out a sound quite similar to the early Severed Head of State stuff, but temper it with Japanese-style riffery and Euro squat growling - an unholy mix of inter-continental sounds!

The latest Crusty House venture, they've been keeping their cards close to their chest as to what they sound like but Lord Summerisle assures me that we're in for some quality dual-vocal Scandi D-beat action, which is just how I like it really.

Long-awaited return to Glasgow from these Edinburgh bruisers who will be fresh from recording their new album on the day of the gig. If you've been living under a rock and haven't come across them before, think Integrity meets From Ashes Rise in a fight on the Cowgate.

Doors 7.30pm £4 on the door

The venue's on Dumbarton Road - get the underground to Kelvinhall, turn left as you come out and it's literally two minutes walk away on the corner of Church Street. Despite it being a bank holiday, I've been assured that underground times are as normal so we'll be all wrapped up in time for you to get back to the city centre for last trains etc.

its in partick, jump on a 62 bus, its a 24 hour route both ways. its just after the indoor sports arena

It will be interesting to witness what the brain dead clientele think when their MTV/Kerrang TV intravenous drip is disconnected and connected to the mains supply. This should cheer me up after missing Priest and the Scorps this Saturday. 777
