THE SECRET

THE SECRET are influenced by a wide range of bands that range from MESHUGGAH
to MOGWAI, THE SECRET's music is a complex and intense stream of
consciousness which drives the listener through unexpected soundscapes where
polyrhythmic breakdowns, dark atmospheric passages, and heavy mosh parts are
blended with surgical precision. Known as one of the hardest working bands
in Europe, THE SECRET has continually toured and will be doing the same
throughout the remainder of 2004. The band is already scheduled to share the
stage with acts such as DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, CHIMAIRA, STRETCH ARMSTRONG,
SHAI HULUD and more.

They were ok when they played in Kirkcaldy and stayed at ours, but i think Dave from Filthpact had some bother with them.

There were some definate crossed wires over money and guarantees up here in Aberdeen leading to them not playing, a year later i hold no grudges and i imagine they're now going through Avacado or suchlike so the problem won't arise again.

just to reintroduce this thread, i bought The Secret's album "Luce" a couple of weeks back and it is absolutely astonishing. The Album Norma Jean SHOULD have written. I urge you all to head down to The barfly on the 22nd and jump around like speed crazed lunatics

they were nice enough to me, but I think they took their money woes out on poor dave

they were really cool with us, especially when our equipment imploded, but I did hear unconfirmed reports of them being divas. decent band, entirely uninspiring though.
