Playing Enemy, Friday Gun Fight and more, S24, Edinburgh 14/07/2005
Cold Dead Hands Presents
Playing Enemy ![]() Seattle's Playing Enemy hammer out an aggravated assault thick with noise and cathartic rhythms on their full-length debut. The band's frayed, futuristic constructions and emphatic vocals exude hostility and inner turmoil. With fiercely precise execution, Playing Enemy attain an unconventional brilliance in the tradition of great power trios. Featuring ex-members of Kiss It Goodbye, Undertow, Dead Guy, and Rorschach, some of the most influential heavy hardcore bands of the past 15 years, they're still very much ahead of the game. www.playingenemy.com Friday Night Gun Fight Local metalcore stalwarts, expect plenty of mosh parts, blast beats, some black metal riffage and those all important epic parts. Despite having been around for a relatively short space of time, they're evolving into something pretty special. www.fridaynightgunfight.co.uk Ben Cozine Debut Cold Dead Hands appearance for these local boys, formerly known as Battle Ready Robot. Mix up sort of techy metallic hardcore with driving melodies- think a more metal Grade. www.purevolume.com/bencozine Seducedwomandead Tight trousered chancers from down South on their debut UK tour. Fast, chaotic, noisy. Imagine Charles Bronson sorting out the Blood Brothers in a pub car park. www.seducedwomandead.tk Thursday 14th July, Studio 24, Calton Rd, Edinburgh Doors 7.30pm £5, over 14s Swap box |

I e-mailed that Seducedwomandead lot about playing Glasgow on Friday 15th July, should be able to sort it out for them. Yossarian is Drowning might be coming up around that time as well, so we'll stick them on the bill - dunno if you guys would be interested in having them for this show too? I e-mailed Graeme anyway.
