Slipknot - Barrowlands - Wed 08/06/05

Anyone going to this gig?

I've seen Slipknot twice in SECC, once at Glasgow Green and once in Leeds Festival but I cant see any of them being the same atmosphere as this one is going to be.

Everyone knows Slipknot are just there to make alot of brutal noise and put on a good live show and seeing them in an hall rather than an arena or outdoors is going to be something else I reckon.

i shall see support and judge for myself but im only there for the knot.. aye a pretty high £27 when you include booking fee etc

Spose its for the diehards only. When you think about it. Barrowlands small venue, sells less tickets, 9 members need to split the money and then the rest is spent on roadies and equipment etc so possible reason for high price.

Dont really know, maybe they are just greedy aslong as they dont disappoint im not complaining

slipknot gigs are always in the £25-30 price region after booking fee.

I think the Slipknot/Slayer one was only about £20ish.. might be wrong.. cant really remember

I also probably wont check out the support in a high hope that Scotland can get 3 points against Belarus

slipknot at the barras were sick as fuck, mind that was when the first album came out, fucking class stuff. think tickets were like a tenner or so.

i was at that too, think you're right about price. i felt pretty uncomfortable watching hundreds of people throw nazi-esque salutes towards the stage though.

haha, totally, the whole event kinda made me realise how much of a farce they were to become... but in terms of just the loud n angry factor... the 40 mins or so they played (excluding that clown twat fannying about) was great!

wrong. i would rather see shadows fall than mendeed. plus, mendeed will be opening, then shadows fall and then slipknot. and slipknot/slayer/hatebreed/mastadon was £22. what a lineup!!!
