Ambulance, Flyblown and more - Mon 27th June - The Universal
Mick and Alice's Net Loss Generator presents:
Ambulance Crushing hardcore from Sweden, taking the Wolfbrigade blueprint and adding the gloom of bands like Lost. Certainly of the same anthemic crust school as contemporaries To What End? and Kontrovers, but a lot heavier - His Hero is Gone comparisons wouldn't be out of place at times. http://www.ambulance.se Flyblown Brutal London crust violence, unleashing all unholy terror in a manner akin to Dropdead, Infest, or even our very own Filthpact. Short, sharp and to the point. http://www.flyblown.co.uk Twenty Centuries of Sleep Pissed off Portland-style hardcore emerging from a mountain of emo records, the Tragedy vs. Ebullition comparison is probably the most obvious one to use. The guys and girl in Black Tax think we sound a lot like Yaphet Kotto, which gives me a shit-eating grin. http://www.twentycenturies.tk + 1 more TBC Monday 27th June The Universal (Sauchiehall Lane) Doors 8.00pm £5 I know folk don't like coming out on Monday nights but it'd be appreciated if you could make the effort and show face at this one. Pete from Flyblown, who books UK tours for a lot of awesome bands, has been avoiding Glasgow from time to time because of the lack of sizeable and/or decent crowds, so your presence would be a great help in convincing him to keep us in mind for the future. Cheers. |

The Smackdown (www.the-smackdown.com) at the Barfly, 8.00pm. Nothing awesome but I'll probably go down for last-minute flyering purposes.
