65 Days Of Static - Barfly Glasgow - 19 Oct - Tix on sale
dicelines in association with vman events present:
65 DAYS OF STATIC / YOUTHMOVIE SOUNDTRACK STRATEGIES barfly, 260 clyde street, glasgow doors 8pm / over 18s only / £7 Tickets are now on sale for 65 Days of Static’s October tour, which stops off at the Barfly Glasgow on Wednesday 19th October, with Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies alongside. Impossible to pigeonhole, 65 Days Of Static offer a truly unique view of the future of music. Some descriptions say danceable post-hardcore, while others say a fusion of metal, noisecore, sludge and ambient sounds. Thankfully, the band have made some music available for streaming at their website – www.65daysofstatic.com – so you can make your own mind up how you want to classify them. If indeed, you can. 65 Days Of Static are largely instrumental, but that’s no problem according to Kerrang’s 4 out of 5 review of The Fall of Math – “They don't need vocals as this noise transcends what any words could possibly say”. With a number of noteworthy features under their belts, including a John Peel session, this band are truly exceptional. Wire magazine has described them as “A breakneck descent into electronically rendered sheet metal guitar, rattling drum n' bass and - you know you want them - Prog keyboards means that, like all moments of intense ending, there's never a dull moment.” Click here for the band's website. Joining 65 Days of Static are Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies - “Situated midway between yourcodenameis:milo and Mogwai, YMSS are clever, original - and sadistically unpredictable.” – Kerrang. More info and MP3s are available at the band’s website Tickets are now on sale, priced £7 from: TicketWeb Dicelines Online Shop Tickets Scotland (Argyle Street, Glasgow) 0870 220 1116 (Credit Card Hotline) |
