here’s the scenario. If your band can’t get gigs with local promoters, it’s because you aren’t a good band, or because you’ve got issues with local promoters. Your fault. If you are so desperate to gig your shitty band that you need to set up a gig yourself, then it’s no-ones fault but your own. If you promote a gig it’s your responsibility to make sure enough people come in to cover costs, it’s not the job of the bands playing.

apparently i've been totally unfair and slanderous in calling this a p2p gig. i'm sorry if i thought a gig that my band had to put a share in that totals way way way way over what is needed, was in fact a p2p gig.

I see where they were coming from with the whole split the risk thing...but it does seem like they are overcharging slightly likes !!
