right.
here's what happened. Mark Radarr comes online, asks fight back to play with Champion at Soundhaus, i say maybe then began to question him as to what was going on with the show. given his past i knew the show would be poorly advertised, shit support (with the fight back that's a certainty) poorly run, no good food and bad treatment etc. plus on top of that, this kid is shylock, a total jew with money so the local bands get fucked over and no travel dough!! so i managed to convince him to let me have the date, he "e-mailed" avocado and told me everything was 100% ok. i'd recieve the itenarary etc via e-mail shortly. so Neil and i thinking that we need to make this a fucking excellent show get right on it. Mark continues to tell me its ok and everything is go. Neil and I make flyers (wow the street cred is through the roof), book barfly, get everything sorted and wait for the final orders. i continually demand Mark get the finger out and e-mail avocado getting the rider details etc. So when i never get replies from him i take matters into my own hands. i've e-mailed Marco a few times, no response, neil e-mails marco....again nothing. we phone him and all we get is his cheesy american voice via answer phone. we were stuck in purgatory, knowing not what was going to go on with this show. we tried everything to get in touch with folks, alas we'd been ignored. that there obviously is the summarised account of the last 3 months and for the record the show was booked in glasgow on the 16th for the soundhaus as it says or perhaps said on the avocado website. anyway, that to me is absolutely in the past i just felt it necessary to make these points and let everyone know that i have no beef with anyone regarding this matter with the exception of Marco, Avocado and Mark Radarr! (i fully recommend boycotting this kids shows, make sure he never promotes again, need any justification for the boycott PM me) i shall be at this show to see a good band, support my mate's show and to see some good mates i haven't seen for a while. there's just a high chance i'll be crashing. to face facts its in dundee now, meh, i only wanted to let folks know why there was pissing and moaning. frustration eh. ah well. roll on champizzle! |

I would ideally liked to have announced it sooner (may or august), but as you can tell the whole venue/town thing was slightly screwed up. Last edited by paul engage : 17th September 2005 at 09:54 AM. |

So are the tix I just bought for the Glasgow show valid for Dundee?
![]() Who cares where the gig is, if we all make the effort to show up and not stand with hands in pockets, feet glued to the floor, then it'll be a great night! Last edited by cynix : 17th September 2005 at 02:14 PM. |
