Dimebag Darrell Tribute Night - Glasgow
SPECIAL DIMEBAG DARRELL TRIBUTE NIGHT IN GLASGOW THIS MONTH
Bands pay tribute to the legendary, former Pantera guitarist a year since his tragic death On Saturday 26 November 2005, four bands from Scotland and England will pay tribute to Dimebag Darrell as part of the monthly metal club ‘Massacre’ held in the 13th Note, King Street, Glasgow. The tribute night will be a celebration of Dimebag's life - looking back at his career and through the eyes of the other musicians he influenced and inspired. Bands performing are Deadeye (from Wellingborough, England) with support from Glasgow’s Attica Rage along with local groups Hellhouse and Antifaith. The bands will be performing original material as well as a few surprise Pantera covers. Dime Memorial Bracelets will be available to buy with all proceeds going to both The Dimebag Darrell Memorial Fund which covers bereavement and medical expenses for three of the victims of the December 8 shooting and VH1's Save the Music Foundation. There will also be special Dimebag-related prizes up for grabs and a competition which Dime himself would be proud of (expect lots of booze-guzzling to be involved!). Doors open at 8pm and tickets (£4) are now available from the bands, Wiseguys Promotions and Tickets Scotland or on the door. This is a one-off special event with the opportunity for all Dimebag fans to come together and pay tribute to his memory and legacy - an event not be missed! More information on the bands performing can be found at: Deadeye: www.deadeye.ws / www.myspace.com/deadeyerock Attica Rage: www.atticarage.com / www.myspace.com/atticarage Hellhouse: www.hellhouse.co.uk / www.myspace.com/thehellhouse Tickets can be bought from the band or online at www.wiseguys.plus.com or www.tickets-scotland.com The Massacre club night in Glasgow’s 13th Note has become the popular meeting place for all fans of heavy music to see the best signed and unsigned metal acts from across the UK and has seen capacity crowds fill the basement venue every month since the launch in July. It has also proudly broken the venue’s record for drink sales at the bar! This Dimebag tribute on Saturday 26th November will no doubt do the same! Would be great if there was a Dimebag tribute night in Dundee. It would definitely end up more of a tribute night than the one I went to in Anstruther, which was a great night but not one Dimebag song was played
hows that for a tribute night East Neuk style? he he he classic! |
