Swell night!
State Of Affairs - I was pretty impressed with these guys. Im not really into punk music that much but some of SOA's tunes were kicking, alot of cool riffs and dynamics, although Ska is most definately not my thing. Thankfully there wasn't too much of it and the rest got my extremely important seal of approval. Interesting to see how their sound develops. ![]() You Suspect - Tight band and played well together but the music didn't do it for me. Perhaps too much banter between songs as well. Dead Or American - Awesome! The new stuff is so fucking dark and brooding that it gave me nightmares Stapleton - A long time coming and I for one wasn't disappointed! The new stuff sounds incredible and it was also totally moist to hear some of the old favourites (Cheavy Chase in particular). Hope to see them again soon and hope the tour goes well! Braw!

Thought Stapleton were great. Those guitar sounds, oh my! New stuff good (been enjoying the album), delighted to hear "Icy You" and "Chez Chef"!
New Dead or American stuff sounded interesting too. I look forward to hearing the album. |
