probably not going to happen unless one of the idiot (barfly, radaar, pay to play ) promoters pick it up because they want a chunk of money that they are just not going to get unless someone does it in a decent sized venue and charges a chunk of cash on the door.

why is there always so much trouble with horse coming to Scotland? last time they came to the UK, people from Scotland were e-mailing left right and center calling me all sorts of things because i couldn't fit them in, in scotland. Now when i try to get them a show in Scotland the promoters seem to have dissapeared! They are not demanding a "chunk" of money really, it costs a lot of money to fly a band from L.A and rent them a minibus while they are here. Im not an 'agent' just someone who is doing this for the band, im doing this DIY and will make nothing from the tour, im just going by what the band are looking for. and to be fair maybe deserve the price they are asking for as they have a massive buzz about them.

i've lost plenty money thinking i can handle bigger guarantees and always come off worse, so even though i would really like to do this, i'm not going to offer. as steve said there are probably other promoters who will probably give it a shot. Last edited by gav : 13th January 2006 at 02:19 PM. |

presonally i cant see anyone losing money on putting on shows for horse. Last time they were in the UK, every show was PACKED and that was only low key. This time there are talks with putting ads in magazines in the UK. Plus when they done the tour before it was in days before Myspace, its seems these days all you have to do is put one bulletin up and the venue sells out, which really sucks, it takes the fun away from promoting.
Since this tour was announced by i must have had over a hundred e-mails asking about the tour and how they can get shows and a few of them were in scotland so i think that any show will at least break even. |
