After RIDDLE OF STEEL won some awards, like the "best rock band
2005" in the riverfront times magazine, and shared their stages
with bands like CAVE IN, LES SAVY FAV, RYE COALITION, RIVAL
SCHOOLS and many morein the states & have released their 2nd album
"GOT THIS FEELIN" on ROBOTIC EMPIRE and ASCETIC RECORDS, it's
about time to come to europe!

RIDDLE OF STEEL are focused, powerful and more direct without
losing the exploratory feel of the band’s trademark post-punk/prog
wizardry … the result is songwriting that mixes in the darker,
spikier side of power pop/indie rock, riyl: TRANS AM, QUEENS OF
THE STONE AGE, JESUS LIZARD, SLINT and Gran Turismo era CARDIGANS;
songs that are stylishly technical (tempo changes are sexy, kids),
hauntingly catchy, and wonderfully free of any cloying “emo”
ubiquity. If you don't know them, you MUST check their mp3 here:

“Riddle of Steel is a blend of… well, everything I love about
music. They bring power, technical musicianship and emotive
melodies to the table. But, while that formula might bring one of
a hundred different bands to mind, ROS, honestly, has no musical
peers. The music honestly defies classification, but not because
of lack of direction on the bands part. They know what they want
from each song, whether it is driving power, mathy rhythms, or a
nice melody line… ROS puts it to use like no one else you’ve
heard.” -Indie Work Shop

ROMA 79 from san fransisco will be their partners in crime!
After ravaging the countryside of some of the nation's most
freedom-loving states, *ROMA 79* set up camp in California in the
early part of this century. They quickly captured the ears of the
industry’s biggest wigs – recording soundtracks fpr comedy central
and nickelodean TV throughout 2003 and 2004, and casually lending
their amplifiers and rehearsal space to fellow indie icons Arcade
Fire and The Wrens.
After that, they've released their junior-album called "THE GREAT
DYING" on *ASCETIC RECORDS*, too

"San Franscisco’s Roma 79 strike a sweet balance between
latter-day post-emo (in that all its buttons are done up and
Jeremy Patfield’s vocals have a few favorite hangouts), and what
is turning into a refreshingly satisfying wave of, oh hell I’ll
say it, new-gazer. Or is it nü-gazer. Whichever. The Great Dying
is full of thick, bristling guitars that chop and layer in
alternation—songs like “Angel Message” have enough twists and
turns to conjure up Jawbox, while “Gold”—the one I keep going back
to, with its light, airy vocals drifting atop a steady storm of
subtly shifting distortion—could be the grand return of the Drop
Nineteens (or a cameo by the Darling Buds). Given how
self-indulgent vintage shoegazer shit eventually grew, Roma 79’s
compromise between quirky hookage and austere beds of guitar
provide a satisfying update, and more importantly, an enjoyable,
fresh-sounding rock record that hints at a dope live show and
great things to come." *MICHAEL BRODEUR*
