Carling Weekend 2006
I know the lineup's not been officially announced yet, but does anyone have any idea/heard any rumours about who's playing? I know it's announced on the 3rd April (when tickets go on sale) but I'm just curious now.

I can't decide if I should go this year or not.

Nowt special to be honest. The only bands I'd like to see is Franz Ferdinand, Muse and Pearl Jam, not too sure about the rest. I hope the line-up looks alot stronger as bands are 100% comfirmed as I was really wanting to get to Leeds this year. Haven't been to a Carling festival since 2003.

i`d pretty much guarantee that Pearl Jam will NOT play it. they said they would never play a festival again after Roskilde.

AUG-OCT is pencilled in for a Pearl Jam Euro tour so they will probably be over to play (YAY!) but i`d be massively shocked if it was festival dates for the UK.

Yeah. Think it's the Lock Up, as in the Mike Davies Radio 1 show, now.

Line up's announced tonight. I'm going anyway because it's the first time in a few years that lots of my mates have been up for it, so even if the line up isn't brilliant it'll still be fun.

I'm not a fan of any of the headliners but I'd go and see them all in a pass the time sort of way. The rest of the stuff they announced is grade A shit, though. Still, 100 bands or so to go, so it's not time to panic yet.

so surprised that Pearl Jam are doing festivals this year. they have one in Spain booked too. they better not pass this off as a "UK" tour. its been 6 years since i saw em. i aint going back to Leeds just for them, as much as i love them, everything else on the line up reeks of shite.
