For a decade, Racebannon have been destroying PA’s the world over with a panache only they know how. Anyone who saw Rapider Than Horsepower last year will have met the “fun” face of the fuck fright. Racebannon are Rapider’s psychotic serial killer twin. They’ve sired countless seven inches (one on the seminal Witching Hour records) and three bewilderingly intense full lengths (including the five part rock opera Satan’s Kicking Your Dick In). Their fourth album “Racebannon IV: Acid and Blood” will be released sometime this year.

Eye
Glasgow’s Eye could be called post-rock. However it’s a fairly bland label for a band that is never less than enthralling, be they navigating through a gentle calm or riding the crest of a thunderous wave of sound. Although the compositions are fluid, they hold your attention where many less able bands disappear into their own collective anus. Couple this with the intimacy the band conjure through lighting and your in for one of the most memorable performances your likely to see in a small venue.

This will have to finish by 10.00pm, so get there early. The upside is that it leaves plenty of time for last buses/trains etc, especially good as Henry's is kind of midway between the train stations.

After last night I'm so lookin forward to this, all the big summer shows are lookin shit hot.
Think the summer puts me in the mood to stand in dark rooms and watch bands.

Glasgow show vs Edinburgh show, advising you see both, Racebannons a twice in a life time experience. It'd good to get a bit of a group feeling going by the time of the Edinburgh show as well, it's essential for the trust required in strong pyramid building
