Kakistocracy and Threads - Fri 28th July - Glasgow
glasgowshows.cjb.net presents:
Kakistocracy Anthemic crust assault from North Carolina, USA. Kakistocracy's brand of hardcore punk is similar to that of From Ashes Rise, The Holy Mountain and so on, but they manage to set themselves apart thanks to a fistful of energy and some top-notch songwriting. A split with Chronicle AD looms, whilst their full-length is out now on the legendary Profane Existence label. http://www.myspace.com/kakistocracymtnpunks Threads Rock and fackin' roll courtesy of a bunch of old gits who've been through the wars and still managed to avoid going grey. Featuring ex-members of Khang, Baby Harp Seal, Month of Birthdays and the million bands Sned has been in, Threads put the heavy rock of Purple and Sabbath through the Black Flag blender and let the end result take you to the great gig in the sky. http://www.myspace.com/threads333 Black Sun Stomach-churning, face crushing doom designed to upset the undiscerning listener. Thunderous musicianship, guttural roars and a strict dress code are the essentials that make up the Black Sun live experience. As they say, you won't like it. http://www.ripyourselfopen.com Dreams Are Free, Motherfucker! Coming back for their second trip north of the year, DAFM! unleash the fastcore fury that demands finger-pointing and running around in circles...if you can keep up! Fans of the whole 625 Thrash vibe will dig this especially. http://www.myspace.com/dreamsarefreemofo Friday 28th July O'Henrys (14 Drury St) Doors 8.00pm £5 Last edited by Kierkegaard : 16th July 2006 at 09:51 PM. |

No more Black Sun, they've parted ways with Kerr and promptly pulled out. If anyone's up for playing then get in touch. Also, Sned has said he'll be bringing his distro with him so expect to make yer wallets a little lighter in exchange for fine punk rock goods!
