Should be good, hopefully they will play some of the tunes they have been refusing to play in recent years!

dunno, but i can remember them swanning about in kappa tracksuits back when i was a but a young pup. when i'm away from home and mention falkirk that's the first association folk come up with, pisses me right off ha.

Going to the 3rd Dec show, is the 4th confirmed yet? I've seen no tickets for it.

I bought tix for the 3rd thinking it was the last show ever and found out it was actually the next night, bummer.

Its listed on the ticket master website but says the tickets are unavaible.

Going to go into the shop tomorrow or king tuts to try and get tickets, I saw someone on the malcolm middleton myspace saying they had tickets for the 4th.

I have a ticket for the 3rd as well but I will go both nights if I can get a ticket.

GLASGOW VENUE CHANGE
Updated Friday 22nd September, 2006

Due to overwhelming demand (!), the venue for our Glasgow show has been upgraded. We will now be playing one night at the ABC on Monday the 4th of December and all King Tut's tickets will of course be valid. Rather than add another night (both Tut's shows had sold out by the start of this week), we felt it was better to do our final show in one place and on one night - this way everybody gets to go to the last Arab Strap gig. Plus it's in the best venue in Glasgow! We hope you understand, but if there's a problem then please contact your ticket seller and they'll sort you out.

So Sunday is cancelled and you use that ticket to get into the Monday gig at ABC.

hey im irish and new to the boards and my general query is, why do scotish people basically seem to hate arab strap? i get this impression from reading the less than enthusiastic and sometimes downright nasty posts scattered across the net. can anyone enlighten me?
im going to the last show in glasgow. looking forward to having a look around the city...

plus has anyone noticed that their website seems to be down? the boards section?

I wouldn't take a negative opinion of Arab Strap particularly seriously if you read it on here.

Otherwise, people just can't be seen to like a generally well regarded and moderately successful scottish band, especially if they are scenester favourites.

I'd like to go to the last show, but it's a school night, though i may have the Tuesday off...

Negativity towards Arab Strap seems to revolve around whether you're a miserable bastard or not. Sometimes I am.. and they are perfect for it!
