Avast!, Once We Were (SWE) + 1 tbc - Glasgow - Sat 14th Oct.
This Is Our Battlefield gives you...
Avast! (myspace) The Dundonian half of Stapleton, playing emo-tinged indie rock possibly along the lines of Red Animal War and Spy vs. Spy, promoting their debut album 'Faultlines'. Once We Were (myspace | mp3) Swedish instrumental trio on Tender Version (Scraps of Tape, etc) concocting exquisite minimalist post-rock guitar soundscapes. Genuinely lovely. + 1 tbc Saturday 14th October O'Henry's (14 Drury Street, off Renfield Street, near Central Station) £4 8.30pm www.tiob.co.uk Ta! ![]() |

if he were there, toneKING would have whole-heartedly approved of avast! crackin set, loved the new stuff. shame i had to leave early for my last train, was looking forward to hearing skyscrapers...
once we were had some really cool stuff, especially that drum beat in the second or third tune. fragile had some really good tunes too, i liked their drummer's style. Last edited by Afro Joe : 15th October 2006 at 01:06 AM. |
