Cheers, I pimped it a bit earlier. people in arbroath moan because they say the viewfield is shit, but not we have the chance to get anotehr venue in arbroath, so I hope people at least make the effort to come out tonight. I mean, I'm going out and I'm a miserable bastard! |

ach! the waterfront. worst venue ever? possibly!
when we played, it was like the mardi, far too big a venue (prob could hold about 700 people i think) and there was a delay with between what was being played and what was coming through the monitors! |

Last night we went along to get everything set up and to get a soundcheck and a wee jam done and the sound was not too bad. I think the waterfront can hold about 1,000 (well thats what the owner said...). the guy doing the gig was a sound engineer in glasgow a good few years ago. he went through to soundcontrol in glasgow to buy everything we will need for this gig(including new monitors and a new mixing desk), crazy bugger! I hope its alright sounding tonight, but it sounded ok last night. |

we (omar) went down on tuesday to get all the equipment set up etc because it was all brand new (bought at the weekend). Fine, that's reasonable. Got decent levels etc and everything was cool.
Yesterday, we got two guitar amps that was had to mic up and when that was done, achren appeared with their complete backline, which they wanted to use. soundchecks were still ongoing at half 8, the doors opened at 8. we were supposed to be on at half past. we didnt get on till 9. Also, i didnt have a proper drum stool, only a chair with 4 legs, and there was a hole at the back of the stage i nearly fell down a few times ![]() about 100 people turned up tho, so i guess it was good. |

I'm glad people went along to this. Arbroath needs another decent venue, and the Viewf's just far too small. Plus, it gives Ballies a purpose other than to harbour the stupid
