Meet Me in St. Louis are easily one of the best bands in the UK right now. 2007's "Variations in Swing" is my album of the year by a LONG way. MMISL instrumentation takes a razor to your face, hacking you to bits whilst, unawares, you sing a long with every part of the melody.

Blakfish are on tour with MMISL and hail from Birmingham. Their sound is somewhere between brash stuff like Converge, An Albatross and leanings to ATDI, Thursday and others.

They Died Too Young are an awesome angular, post hardcore band from Kingston who have blownme away countless times in 2007. I reckon they are somewhere between Charlottefield, Faraquet, At the Drive-In, Drive Like Jehu, yourcodenameis:milo, and Hot Snakes.

Fault & Fracture are a great white hope from Aberdeen. We played with these chaps earlier on in 2007 at the Tunnels and they blew us away. They sound something like Red Sparowes, Isis, Aussitot Mort and Funeral Diner.

Archives will be playing some new material which is likely to appear on an album in early 2008. Very uncool Post Rock & Screamo that points at Funeral Diner, Aussitot Mort and From Monument to Masses

MMISL album is pretty decent. Find it hard to listen to in the car though as it takes a bit of concentration, well the first couple of listens did.

Quite looking forward to seeing Archives again, really enjoyed the set at the Moleck/Sincebeza gig.
