Cold Dead Hands Presents...
Hey Colossus
Monumental riff machine from down South, think an unholy mix of Can, Sabbath and Fudge Tunnel. Down to two guitarists but having gained someone on noise/electronics since we last saw them in 2005.
Creeping grooves that build into thick waves of grinding downtuned riffage, with weird shouted vocals, thick with Hawkwind FX and sent drifting over HC's spiky psychedelic Krautrock stoner sludge grooves.
"Hey Colossus delve into sludgy territory, but not the slow bubbling muck variety. It’s dissonant grind that touches upon influences as varied as Fugazi, Entombed, and the Melvins, while keeping an intricate yet simple structure to the music."

Tractor
Bristol based noise rock, ploughing the fertile fields of Unsane-esque heaviness.
"OK, so I'm just reaching the closing minutes of Tractor's side of this bastard noise 10", and Tractor bassist Hank has seen it fit to give my head a good kicking in. Now, my speakers arent huge by any means, but so low is the bass of Hank tractor, that the items on my desk are moving themselves around, vibrating from one end to the other. The song Tractor serve up to us is entitled 'gHost', a full frontal noise dirge rock song, that's no short of brilliant. You can add Melvins, Swans and any Steve Albini bands you care to name check in Tractor's list of aggressive influences."- review of the Tractor/Geisha split 10"

Mesa Verde
Top Weegie screamo joy boys playing their first Edinburgh show in ages. Last Hours review of their EP:
"I hate how the word 'emo' has been completely bastardised. I want to use the E word to describe this band from Glasgow, but I would use it the same way I would use it to describe La Quiete. Certainly not the way The Daily Mail would use it to describe My Chemical Romance. In fact, this band really reminds me of the frantic emotive thrashing sounds of La Quiete, except they are slightly more cohesive. It has long, steady build-ups and crashes into a cacophony of fun and noise."
