I enjoy his solo stuff alot, I got into the third album initially but having gone back to the first two I find them just as good, if not more so.

I adored Arab Strap previously. A lot of people find the lyrics a bit cringe worthy and pointless and that the songs were ridiculously empty but I really, really adored that band and just about everything they did.

Unfortunately a lot of people follow the opinion that both Arab Strap and Malcy are shite, so I don't think you're alone!

One of my old bands, Neurola, supported Arab Strap at the Westport once....Arab Strap were fucking gash.

i always thought arab strap were gash but i rate malkie's first album very highly, some cracking lyrical content there (see for example crappo the clown). into the woods was alright but he totally lost me on the third album. however, i shall be attending this as i want to know if he'll agree to sign my tits this time.
