I wouldn't agree with that. Just because I can't play guitar, it doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a guitar being played well. It doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good singer. You really can't justify that statement. There are a lot more people who can't play in a band thatn there are those who can. Also, when I say I'm not musically talented, I mean it to the extent that it wouldn't be appreciated on here or on the wider music scene. I mean, who really wants to hear a grade 8 recorder player? Then again, how much music is actually appreciated on here? With regards to Sarah, It's all just a matter of opinion. I find her good, all of the people that have heard her that i've spoken to finds her good. You don't? Doesn't matter.

yeahh but thats like saying someone who walks into a art gallery looks at all the pretty colour and is amused but they dont really appreciate the brushstrokes the technique the talent thats put into it :P

I watched the video clips of her playing live, and she was nothing more than exceedingly average.

People who sing in church are serving 'God' and are, therefore, credulous sheep.

I saw her busking today, her covers of depressing 2-years-too-late-for-the-britpop-bandwagon 'anthems' were at odds with an otherwise sunny and pleasant day.

I didnt say you cant appreciate it, im just saying that people that play music will know a bit more about it, what azzemojo said put my point accross a bit better
