Funeral Diner, Stapleton, Twenty Inch Kings...Sunday 14th September
COLD DEAD HANDS PRESENT:
Funeral Diner Classic mid-90's style emo (with screamo sympathy) from San Francisco. Passages of fragile, tense melody, shattered by driving guitars and screamed vocals. Featuring ex-members of Portraits of Past and Nexus Six. http://www.funeraldiner.com/ for MP3s. Stapleton These Glasgow kids have been knocking out the angular mathy-emo rock for years. Something akin to Braid/Karate/Texas is the reason. Now a four piece, this is their first Edinburgh gig in a couple of years. You either love them allready, or you soon will. Twenty Inch Kings New Fife based band. Second Edinburgh show recently. Coming on like a cross between Helmet and Obituary. Suitably powerfull I'm told. Another welcome addition to the local scene. Sunday 14th September, doors 8pm (most likely) Entry Four Pounds. (also featuring the cold dead swap box, bring a mix tape to trade). A week this Sunday if anyone gives a shit... |

proper emo... damn straight.
all the kids with no clue of what sincere, passionate, real "punk" music is... check it out. if you are not here, and instead either at the the art-rock show or the corporate "hardcore" show in glasgow, we will know that you are all a bunch of trend following scum bags |

Only a couple of days. The last gig of this type(Forstella Ford, Santo Caserio and IDD) that was held there was really fucking good. No reason this shouldn't be just as good...
Plus it will give people a chance to shout at stevefukkinc in person for the other topic he started... |
