good idea, i have a question actually.

In the near future i should be getting a v kit, so i want to mess around with home recordings.

Ive got sound forge and acid on my pc, can anyone reccomend a decent soundcard for home recording, and an interface that i could use to plug everything in?

Im not looking at spending mass amounts of cash here, just something decent!

Yeah that would be cool. I've started to get more interested in it myself, although it's going to be years until I can afford to get something decent, as I'm saving for my wedding at the moment

All most interfaces are, are fancy external sound cards.

Depending on how many tracks you are needing to record at one, M-Audio and Presonus, aswell as a host of other companies make decent and relativley cheap recording interfaces.

Always go for firewire over USB aswell
