Posting this to bump the thread in the hope that someone will make a serious contribution
Recorded with shitty version of cubase that came free with my soundcard that won't let me load VST plugins other than the extremely crappy ones that came with it. Old McDonald Fade to Spack (cover of Metallica's "Fade to Black") Oh yeah, if anyone has a Line 6 POD, and wouldn't mind posting something with a stereotypical distorted rock/metal guitar tone, so I can hear what kind of sound you can get out of it, that would be groovay. I'm considering getting one, since a good amp, microphone, and recording interface isn't very feasible for me right now. Last edited by humndislocation : 4th July 2007 at 12:33 PM. |

You get some good VST plugins, that you can get some amazing guitar tones out of! Ampiltube 2 and Guitar Rig 2 are all over the net to download but of course I dont believe in downloading illegal software ![]() |

I'm trying out SONAR right now, which seems to be quite powerful, but the learning curve for some aspects of it seem to be much steeper than they should be. It doesn't help that they bombard you with toolbar buttons and menus. I shouldn't have to look in the help file, or mouse over every single fucking button just to change the metronome settings. What's the standard way to work when you're recording guitars and have one of those cab simulators available. Do you just record your guitar clean and apply any effects you want in your DAW? All that said, at the moment, there's not much point in me getting any of these plug-ins, as I'm recording through a shitty gaming headset microphone at the moment. Garbage in, garbage out, and all that. Last edited by humndislocation : 4th July 2007 at 05:42 PM. |

All the tunes at www.myspace.com/serotoninmetal are demos done at mine. I'll post my specs if anyone wants me to.
