I may make something similar to that . . . going to have a pile of spare ply and egg-box foam around after my speaker cab build.
Unless it is important to have a less rigid material for the box? |

I reckon its probably better to build this thing out of soft materials, because a solid surface will probably cause other comb filtering problems. One tip for recording in a bad room that i've found to work very well is to tape omni's to the floor.
