i wish theyd just make a fuckin epic 2 and a half hour film based on the storyline from 7, that was beautful, and epic, amazing plot twists and characters. amazing set pieces and locations. fuck i wish wi ish i wishhhh theyd make that. this is a sequel to the game, should still be good tho. and aye the trailer looks shit hot.

i ewatched the spirits within the other night for the first time. i kept expecting to pick up my controller and run about as aki for some reason.

The film is finished I believe - apparently previews are in Japan tomorrow - with the DVD release on the 14th.

I doubt there will be a torrent for it until after the 14th. I'm guessing a week or two after until theres a good quality one with english subtitles.

I will however, be checking every 5 minutes until then. Pure cannae wait!!!

I did however find some sexy trailery goodness here.

Ooh, I forgot about this.

I've seen it a couple of times...

Spoiler:

Ok. I loved it, they did it a good bit o' justice but I think they could have done it so much more.

I liked:
-The storyline, although I was left wanting more.
-The graphics, they were tasty. I totally creamed when Bahamut got summoned... and then again when the old crew kicked his ass.
-Barret's new gun-arm.
-Cloud's new sword.
-How they kept materia in as part of the story.
-The music. (Obviously... it's Uematsu doing what he does best.)
-How they managed to include Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Red XIII, Vincent, Cid, Reno, Rude, Rufus, Sephiroth, Aeris.
-The fanfare ringtone on that dude's phone... it shall be mine.
-The action... I like the Cloud v Sephiroth fight... even if it was a bit DBZ.

I didn't like:
-How they only visited two locations, Midgar and The Forgotten Capital. The only truly recognisable place being the church in the slums. I was hoping there'd be a visit to Bugenhagen in Cosmo Canyone, or even Nibelheim.
-How they covered some old bits of storyline but could have thrown in a few more.
-How Reno & Rude were the comic relief... they got turned into a couple of plonkers.
-Yuffie and Cait Sith... but that's a given. Why the hell would Cait Sith be there anyway? He's supposed to be controlled remotely by some dude at Shinra!
-Wasn't too keen on the three new bad guys, they were pretty cool but I would have liked some evilness from someone we already knew (other than Seph). A cyborg/zombie Hojo or something would have been pretty cool. Also when Jenova's cells got brought into it I kinda hoped they would mutate and form some hideous monster like back in the day.
-Not enough monsters... there were those things getting summoned at the start but I would have enjoyed some more, there were so many cool monsters in FFVII - it wouldn't have hurt to see a few of them in new CG.

That's all I can think of for now. I'll be back.
