great games
the new broken sword rules. not a patch on final fantasy VII though, responsible for me dogging school for 2 weeks. closely followed by zelda ocarina of time or the windmaker on the gamecube thats cool too. but then theres halo on the xbox, and star wars knights of the republic, and rainbow six 3. man i should really stop buying video games before ive completed other ones. ah well! cant complain, im gonna go and toss a coin to see what im gonna play. also, everyone should play medal of honor allied assault online or call of duty as they are stupendous. oh oh oh! and age of empires II!! that was responsible for many 4am online battles with my mates then we could talk about our "tactics" the next day in school! bwahahaha! oh dear, it was also responsible for my phone line getting cut by my rents! then theres shenmue on the dreamcast(what a console!) and phantasy star online, then theres goldeneye on the n64 and starwing on the snes (which pissed all over the mega drive from a great height!) and sensible soccer on the atari/amiga! ataris! man i could go one for hours.....
there is no point to this other than to ramble about how good video games are i guess! |

i remember that game! sensi it wasnt though. football games have to go down as being the genre that brings out the greatest amount of shite, and equally, the most addictive. there must be a simple formula to get it right, but there must be a huge turning point where millions of developers go horrendously wrong. anyone played david beckham soccer, i mean fuck sake. pele soccer on the mega drive made me shit myself because it was so bad. kick off was good though, if not mightily frustrating. the fifa series is shite, except the original fifa international soccer released in 94 for the snes and mega drive, it was class.
also i have all the music from FFVII downloaded because it is the best ever. aeris' theme would being a tear to a glass eye. long live rpgs. |

I recommend Return to Castle Wolfenstein for anyone with an Xbox and Xbox live. It's a great online multiplayer. I'm gonna get counterstrike for the xbox soon, see what that's like. I remember the good 'ol days, playing Half Life on dial up, with a lot of lag, but still having a great time. ahh. Age of Empires II is also a great multiplayer. I used to play it a lot a few years ago. Then last year we started playing it in college over the LAN. We did that with Unreal as well. Many a good time was had. Goldeneye, don't get me started on Goldeneye! Papa Joe papa joe! My friend Tang used to shout as he shot people in that. Me and my mates used to playthat ages ago, using onlu proximitry mines, what fun. Ahh, I'm gonna go think about the old days and have a cry now... |
