i bought a GBA SP today...
and its so addictive. I've got Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga and Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3. The backlight is cool. Anyone else got one? recommended games?

I'd second Scotty's list.. all of those are superb.
Zelda: A Link To The Past is also excellent if you've not played it before on the SNES and is good even if you have, because it rocks! Golden Sun 1 & 2: If you're into RPGs. Much more of the above style gameplay but in places even better. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga: Action RPG with the Bros. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire: Again, much the same as above but mm.. these are obsolete if you don't really like RPGs.. so. Advance Wars 1 & 2: Chess with tanks and anime style soldiers - extremely good (and damn challenging, and excellent multiplayer which needs only one Advance as it's turn based combat). Tony Hawkes' Pro Skater 2 was a great suggestion actually, the third one isn't as good and more expensive too. Ecks Vs Sever is quite a good old school first person shooter. Super Mario Advance 3 (Yoshi's Island): Possibly my favourite Mario game, when Nintendo started to do things a little differently, rather than churning out fairly straight sequels.. a real turning point. Wario Ware Inc looks insane and it's the next thing I'm probably going to buy (loads of insane mini-games about brushing dogs teeth and picking noses and stuff). Harvest Moon Advance. Amazing. Bomberman Advance is alright as well, but not essential if you've overplayed it on a million other formats before. I can't even remember how many Advance games I've got... not bought one in a while right enough. Excess amount of geek info stops now.

PS. I also have an Advance SP and the backlight is vital seeing as how I play it in bed the majority of the time, although it's pretty much essential EVERYWHERE to use the backlight as anyone who has used a regular GBA would testify.
Niggles would be sometimes I find the shoulder buttons a little small and I'm annoyed you can't just use regular AA batteries in it, like if you were away on holiday to another country with it which is quite a likely place to use a portable games system you would have to bring your charger and a mains adaptor to charge it up. Battery life is superb though I've always found. Ooh and they're great to link up to your Gamecube for quirky and occasionally useful features. ![]()

yeh, i'm into RPGs. basically i like to be engrossed in the game, so something that holds my attention is always good, so RPGs are a definate favourite. I'm looking for an RPG called Black Hole Rising, but i have a feeling its a Japanese only release.
Also, if you are goign to buy a GBA SP buy it from the 2nd of april, you'll get a voucher book with £250 worth of money off vouchers, i just found this out tonight, wish i waited as it includes a £20 voucher off the cost of a Game Cube. Thats a GC for £59! brand new.

I decided to pay £28 on a Gameboy Player instead for my Cube. Now i can play GB games on the big screen without getting sore eyes from squinting at my GBA and having to point it to the lights. You all should get one. They are good likes
