Photoshop CS users?

i'm still on version 7 so i'm wondering if its worth upgrading at work to version CS? i've got the MX suite on the way but at the moment photoshop 7 seems to do everything i want it to although Illustrator CS seems to have a lot of new options; i was wondering if it was the same with Photoshop CS.

Move up to CS.

it has soooo many new cool options.

it also has much better built in vector capabilities.

Are the vector capabilities actually decent in CS then? 7 was a step in the right direction, but I still found it rather clumsy for anything but predefined shapes.

What else is better in CS?

I prefer 7, but I'm old fashioned.

Here's a question, if I had CS, and in Uni they only had 7, does that mean anything I work on at home couldn't be taken into Uni ?

You'd be ok. CS files open in Photoshop 7.

Only as long as you use the 'maximise compatibility' option. Otherwise they won't open in 7.

Yep, which is enabled by default anyway.

Dammit. Maybe I should bite the bullet and upgrade to CS. I'm living in the past.

Does anyone have a working serial number for CS? I have a copy of it that doesn't want to run with the serial provided. I wouldn't be needing to get the activation code from Adobe as I have a code generator.
