although this does look a nice lil beat em up game im a bit upset they couldnt do more with palahniuks creation. its going to give people the wrong idea about the ideals portrayed in the book and film and everyone will just think it senseless violence.

That trailer has AWFUL voice acting, RUBBISH animation and TERRIBLE music.

A fighting game with every day characters, every day locations and real moves.

And?

The game's features are listed as:

Action, story and settings from the Fight Club film
Shocking real-time damage that affects gameplay
Highly realistic environmental interaction
Variety of play Modes

Nothing novel.

Features=

Tacked on film license to sell units, based very loosely on the movie (not the book)
Some blood comes out sometimes and a few teeth too
You can pick up barrels etc. and maybe swing on the odd pole
Versus and single player mode

Och, it's just a game and it'll only give over-40s that idea who won't bother to find out anything else about it. I don't think they could really do it any other way, it would be difficult to make it into any kind of deep game with a plot that followed the book or even the movie accurately, and everyone knows how that ends, so a plot driven game wouldn't really work.

My gripe is that I just don't think the license was necessary at all except to sell more units of a no doubt mediocre fighting game that would otherwise have been called STREET BRAWL or REAL FIGHT 2004 and sold some copies to a bunch of under 18s duped by the 18+ sticker on the box.

outraged parents and censorship groups were today pleased at the announcement of a shit game they can blame lots of stuff on. Hilda Broomage, 45, a single mother, hopes that her son Jimmy can get in a fight and get a black eye REAL SOON so she can use this rubbish game as a scapegoat.

turn to page 30 where you can read about a new group trying to ban Final Fantasy 7 after a chicken was crushed by a saddle and a group of little boys attempting to recreate the sick "Chocobo Race" segment from the game.

It's been voted one of the worst games of the year due to dodgy contolling and lifespan.
But trailer makes it look so appealing.

everthing about this sucks. Making a game out of fight club is without a doubt the worst idea for an adaptation i have ever heard. Chuck will be turning in his grave. If he was dead. By making a game out of it you are completely missing the whole message of both the novel and film. Anybody that purchases this deserves a slow and painful death.

i always wondered.....if you dropped and anvil onto your mates head from and roof and killed him...then blamed it on tom and jerry.....would they ban it?

why is a game any less expressive than film or book, surly you mean "cashing-in on the Fight Club name"
