Is this any good ?
NVIDIA GeForce PCX 5300 128MB PCI Express x16 with TV Out

It comes with the pc I'm getting, I know it's probably not amazing, I'm just wanting to know if it'll do me for a while, and if it'll run doom 3 ?

Going by the Nvidia site its a "mainstream" card, not a performance one, and the other cards it compairs to are 5200's , and if i remember right they work on doom 3 ok at lowest gfx settings (that was on a puter with a P4 3.2 Ghz processor and 1024Mb DDR400 ram )

I could have mis-interperated it tho

I'll need to upgrade it later anyway for when I need to use 3d Studio Max, but that'll be a while yet.

3D Studio Max has been around for many years, this technology hasn't. What do you think they used to run it when it was made?

You could always go totally OTT and get a 3d Labs Wildcat PCI-Express card, they are apparently designed specifically for high end graphics package use, but would set you back a fair chunk
