I have a Slicon Graphics O2 Visual Workstation that i used to use years ago for 3D stuff. I wanted to fire it up again but I've forgotten my password and can't find the system discs.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get into the system on boot to format the drive? Also, do you reckon I could install Linux or windows instead of IRIX on this system? Is it compatible?? Here is what the thing looks like to jog anyones memory: |

Windows won't be compatible unless the CPU is designed to be intel compatible. I know bugger all about Silicon graphics stations though, so I wouldn't know if they are or not. If you get linux for it, you'll need to know what kind of CPU archtecture it has. I wouldn't be surprised if you could run linux on it.
