what is the difference in dvd +r and dvd -r?

they are just two different standards, these are really what the manafactures set when making them to start with, these will disapear soon as modern writers deal with both

i want to put some video footage on a dvd for someone do i have to woory about the dvd being compatible with the player or is it just for the writing side of it?

shouldnt have to worry at all, as long as the player will take copyied dvds your cool.!

Older DVD players may have some trouble with +DVDs
