Final Fantasy X-2 .. am stuck

After being a little miffed at it being so girly i have got into X-2 somewhat and am now stuck

i need to find the butterfly circles to help the guy tobl who looks a bit like Barkeep and certainly sounds like him where are they and also how do i beat the amporphus gel

I think non elemental magic is good against it. Or maybe one of the gun mage things that does an amount of damage based on defence. I dunno, i ran away from them all the time.

If you're really stuck just look at a faq on www.gamefaqs.com it's no more cheating than asking someone how to do it and describing it would take a while (even if i could remember it).
