would anyone be suprised if the battery life was better on this ripoff compaired to the poor quality apple always spew out.

I got a sony 1Gb walkinman in a couple of weeks a go and it boasts a 70 HOUR battery life and its not lying. I think people just got for the ipod cos they feel inferior straying away from the croud. I can imagine kids turning their noses up if they go anything other that an ipod for xmas even if the alternative beat it in every way possible.

apparently if you look down through the peoples comments will be $150(abt £87) for a 1.5gb and $100(£59 roughly) for a 1.0 gb

to be honest, i'll never need to be listening to music full volume for 70hours without access to a USB port for charging.

My shuffle does exactly what i wanted it to. that's why i bought it.

i've got the creative 20gb and my first one i had actually broke without me doing anything to it and now the replacement is a wee bit dodgy so im kinda doubting if there any better than the ipods. its cool tht you can play wma's off it, but the thing tht hits me thts strange with the creative is tht u can use it to store any type of file yet if you want to connect a a creative to another pc other than the one you load it from it tries to delete the files currently on the harddisk, i find this strange and cant see how they can call it a protable harddisk when you really cant transfer anything off it

the only good thing about the creative ones is they invariably break within the warenty which means you get another free!!!!

but no after 2 creatives i decided to go with one of the others & i picked ipod cause it has firewire which has faster sustained transfer rates than usb by up to 48%
