I highly doubt that a petition will change anything. Microsoft wants people to prefer PCs with windows over Macs.

To a certain extent that is true, but MS is also tapping into the Mac market with its official Windows emulator and a few other bits and bobs. Also the lastest OS for Mac is more compatible with files created on the PC platform... if that made any sense. lol.

I'm not a fan of macs, i'm forced to use one at work every now and then, an old G3, but i find PCs more productive, but thats because thats the platform i've used the most.

I've nothing against macs. I just prefer the PC because it's an open system, and everything's a lot cheaper. That and mac fans tend to be really smug about it.

PS. As long as messenger on the mac can send messages and files then I'm happy. All the other gubbins gets on my nerves after 2 minutes.

Edit: I do agree that apps like photoshop will always be better on a mac of course!

yes

I'm talking from the perspective of a designer though and am comparing task speeds of editing and graphics programmes. I don't know the copmparison as far as gaming goes, because I don't use Macs for gaming

I don't use my PC for gaming any more. I mainly use it for game programming, and since the majority of game programming is done on PC, it's the PC for me!

That and the Xbox libraries pretty much consist of the Win32 API and DirectX.
