I'd go with the cheaper one, they're both ridiculously good. I think the nVidia probably has the edge.

i put an old ATI in my old pc about 3 of years ago, certainly did make a hella difference. Then again this PC's on A NVIDA GeForce FX 5200 - 128mb and its been running fantastically for a couple of years now. (not much help really!)

You should check out tom's hardware guides for comparing gfx cards and alot of other hardware. If you go here and scroll to the bottom, then you can click on various games and compare the performance of various gfx cards. A rather jolly site in many respects

beware though, Tomshardware is a biased site and has been for awhile. they are known to favor Intel and Nvidia over the competition, whether or not they are being paid or just like those companies I don't know.

Anandtech and Hardocp are other good review sites.

Hardocp in particular will point out where they think other sites have been biased.

I find the best place to get opinions from is customer reviews and user comments on forums as they tend not to be so biased, any site with ads is receiving money from the hardware manufacturers for advertising and who knows what else.
