Max Payne

This game kicks large amounts of ass. Except for the whack dream sequences when you have to run around on your wife and childs blood.
Its currently stopping me revising for my exam thats is in 14 hours. Ah Well.
Opinions?

im not a huge fan of the game, but thats just cos im no huge fan of those sorta games. the slow motion stuff was cool, but after a while, still the story line was ace. yeah the bit where ur walking over the blood line was a bit boring. it was fun for a while but nothing special for me.

I've not played Max Payne yet, I only got my PS2 at xmas. I've heard good things and bad things about the game.

What are the good and what are the bad.

Great game, using the bullet time for the first time was amazing. The dream sequences wouldve worked much better without the annoying blood trail parts.
As far as the story goes, its nothing out of the ordinary but it's told in quite a cool way.

Good things about the game:

*realistic weapons
*great graphics
*bullet time
*good story
*PC version has lot's of online support (mods etc)

Bad things about the game:

*maybe just a bit short
*dream sequences

There's probably more but it's been a while since I've had a proper go of it.

i just completed max payne last night!!!!get it up ya!!!shit-hot game but the blood bits in the dreams do suck.....and it was a bit short.....ah well......

i completed it both on the PC and PS2. if anyone wants it on the PS2 i'm selling my copy for £10. i played it right through so its only a couple of months old. The dream bits are the annoying parts, thankfully they are not too big, but the rest of the game and the effects and the matrix style effects are amazingly cool, as is the scenery in the game. i thought it would have made a good multiplayer. Plenty of differenct characters available to choose from.

I dont know whats a better single player game, Half Life, Kingpin or Max Payne. Incidently, no one has a copy of Kingpin they are willing to sell do they? its soundtrack was done by Cypress Hill.

Max Payne and Half-Life are both great games but I'd have to say Half-Life just tops it.

As for Kingpin I'm pretty sure its going for around £10 in shops nowadays so you'd probably be aswell just buying it there.

i didnt know if it was in the shops or not because it was taken off the shelves for a while due to its explicit content. Gang warfare has never been better.
