you hate the game cube? but why? i was thinking of getting one now that the price of them has been dropped to less than £80! That new metroid game looks great.

jim, don't you want to wait a while before you give up on gamecube?....some of the most eagerly awaited games in history are coming out this year for gamecube...zelda, metroid, f-zero, mario kart, the new starfox, resident evil 4, final fantasy crystal chronicles....whereas all the xbox owners have to look forward to is halo 2 and a shitload of average driving games...

i wonder what goldeneye would have played like on the GameCube. Do they have plans for any Bond related games on the platform?

(this is Jim) don't get me started on Zelda!! have you seen the way the game has been ruined by cartoon style graphics?? Metroid does look very impressive but as i am a big fan of Halo, the idea of playing it online appeals to me more than playing Phantasy Star online or any other gamecube title.
I just sold my Cube with 5 games, steering wheel, 8mb memory card and two controllers for £100 and was lucky to get that for it because it seems everyone is seeing the gamecube in the same light as i am. |

I have to agree with Jim and not just because i also have an x-box. I hate the Gamecube with a passion. The games are pish, they are way too childish and yeah i know they have Resident Evil but thats not enough to make me purchase a gamecube. It's way to small and dinky lookin' (looks like a fuckin' toy)
In my opinion the Xbox is superior in every sense of the word. Bill Gates is still a prick though ![]() |

Nintendo is the most innovative video games company in the world (with Sega just behind). Its sad to see it lagging behind
the Playstation 2 and the X-box (in Europe anyway). I would argue that some nintendo games are child-like but not childish, the new Zelda game looks fantastic. I can see you're point though, i'm sure someone who listens to a band called Dying Fetus wouldn't be interested in something so joyful and optimistic. Also, yes the Gamecube is small, it's meant to be small so it's easy to carry around to a mates house or whatever. |

the xbox is supposed to be carried to your front door and thats it. The special *brick in a box* design means that no one will sell it cos they cnat drag it to a shop or a mates house, never mind send through post to someone. A cunning startegy indeed.
that said: Gamecube has monkeyball1&2, waverace, luigis, rogue squadron, and Zelda, metroid, skies of arcadia among others on horizon the xbox has halo, which is being ported to pc yeah by far the greater console the xbox is then!!!! *ends sacasm* |

Zelda looks really crap, Halo 2 is looking exellent and steel battalion is comming out for the xbox it looks great and you get a big twin joystic controller with 30+ bottons to use with it. but it is going to cost £120 all together.

zelda on the snes was cartoony as fuck, yet it still stands out as one of the best action/rpgs ever made. whether or not the guys look like real people or little fucking dots, this game is still gonna outplay 99.99% of everything else on the market.
anyway, you must forgive O.B, mr daemon, he's one of many people who bought the gamecube and ended up not actually buying any nintendo games. he was still claiming metroid looks shit 15 minutes after he saw how incredibly non-shit it actually is. but he's come around now, so all is well ![]() |
