Laptop help?
I have a laptop from Tiny, seemed like a good idea at the time, high spec and a cheap price. Now the power supply is fucked and the cunts at Tiny have it so that you can only buy the power supplies from them due to the type of connection from the laptop to the power supply...
Does anyone know if its possible to have the connection on the laptop changed so I can just buy a universal power supply from the shops? I have opened the laptop up and it seems the connection should be easy enough to have a new one soldiered on. Since Tiny are going bust I really dont want to have to relie on them to replace the part... |

haha, tiny! haha. sorry. i can't help at all, but i had to laugh at you buying a tiny pc. does it have aol on it too? sorry. i don't think you can do that, to be honest but if they are going bust and can't help you in the future, with your guarantee being null and void then i suggest you try it anyway! |

I opened up my old tiny to find that all the ide ports are GLUED in, as are the ram chips, thats a bit crap!
I'd try and get someone who knows about computer electronics to have a look at it, it should be doable anyway |

You poor bastard. I bought a Tiny PC about 5 years ago. I didn't have any credit fot the hire purchase so I got my mum to buy it for me.
Bloody salesman convinced her to get an extended warranty for £20 a month, asshole. Less than 1 year later Tiny went into liquidation, my extended warranty was void, however, the payment contract was bought over by a nother company - so I still had to pay for it. Oh yes, then the hard drive jammed and I had to have the entire tower replaced, they did it for free but due to the warranty being void I had to pay a carriage fee of like £55 AND they never gave me the Windows XP installation disks. Just had it pre-installed on the machine so I had to acquire my own copy when I formatted it later. So yeah, don't expect help of any kind from Tiny. The company itself is just a name for all the old stock that keeps getting bought over like franchises, nobody is in it to uphold the reputation of the company - they just want some cash. Bastards. |
